Kupwara, Jan 13 (JKNS): On the eve of 10th Veterans Day 2026, a felicitation programme was organised by Zila Sainik Welfare Office Kupwara at D.C Office Complex Kupwara and celebrated with due solemnity and pride to honour the selfless service, sacrifice & contribution of ex-servicemen to the Nation.

The programme was organised with the objective of acknowledging their role in nation building and continued service to the society even after retirement from the Armed Forces.

On this occasion, Gallantry Award Winners were honoured for their exceptional courage, bravery and distinguished service to the nation and also prominent Ex-servicemen who have been actively working and stood on their feet and contributing to nation building and work towards realizing our aspiration of the Visksit Bharat.

The felicitation ceremony was graced by Deputy Commissioner, Kupwara, Shrikant Suse in presence of Col SS Raja (Retd) Sainik Welfare Officer who felicitated them with Certificate of Appreciation and Mementos, acknowledging their invaluable contribution to the country and society. He appealed the ex-servicemen to take benefit under various centrally sponsored schemes by visiting nearest CSC or Centre of excellence established at D.C Office Complex Kupwara. (JKNS)
