Kolhia Mashil Adab-e-Pahalgam organised a literary Mushaira at Ashimuqam

Ashmuqam 12 Jan: Kolhia Mashil Adab-e-Pahalgam successfully organised a literary Mushaira at Ashmuqam, bringing together renowned poets and admirers of literature in an atmosphere filled with poetic expression and Sufi thought. The event was graced by the presence of Founder of Ehsaas Foundation, Zahoor Ahmad Malik, who attended as the Chief Guest.

The Mushaira witnessed soulful poetic performances by eminent poets including Tanha Iqbal, Irshad Ahmad Irshad, Shahmeem, Yaas Muqami, Raj Soub, and Waseem Ahmad, who captivated the audience with their verses reflecting social values, spirituality, and cultural heritage.

Tanha Iqbal, organiser of the event and a prominent member of Kolhia Mashil Adab-e-Pahalgam, highlighted the importance of such literary gatherings in preserving language, culture, and the rich poetic traditions of the region.

Poet and General Secretary of Kolhia Mashil Adab-e-Pahalgam, Yaas Muqami, in his address, said that Mushairas serve as a bridge between generations and play a vital role in promoting literature rooted in Sufism, peace, and human values. He emphasised that poetry remains a powerful medium to convey love, tolerance, and harmony in society.

Chief Guest Zahoor Ahmad Malik, while addressing the gathering, delivered an inspiring message on Sufism and poetry, stating that poetry has always been the voice of spirituality and resistance against negativity. He appreciated the efforts of Kolhia Mashil Adab-e-Pahalgam for nurturing literary culture at the grassroots level and said that Sufi poetry has the power to unite hearts beyond boundaries. He assured continued support for such meaningful cultural and literary initiatives.

In the concluding session, Yaas Muqami expressed heartfelt gratitude to all participating poets, the audience, and especially the media persons for their support. He extended special thanks to Voice of Sufism Media’s Sahil Ahmad Bhat, Aashiq Hussain from JK ANS Media, and Chief Guest Zahoor Ahmad Malik for sparing their valuable time and honouring the event with their presence.

The Mushaira concluded on a high note, leaving the audience enriched with the essence of poetry, spirituality, and cultural pride.
