Acting on the directions of Deputy Commissioner Kupwara, Shri Ayush Sinha (or Shrikant Balasaheb Suse—use official name if required), a team led by the Tehsildar Karnah along with the Block Development Officer (BDO) Tangdhar visited the spot to assess the situation and provide prompt assistance. As part of interim relief, essential items including kitchen sets and blankets were distributed among five affected families.

Expressing deep sympathy with the victims of the fire incident, the Deputy Commissioner assured them of full support from the district administration. He directed the concerned officers to carry out a detailed assessment of the losses at the earliest so that adequate compensation could be sanctioned under the norms of the State Disaster Response Fund (SDRF).

The Deputy Commissioner also appealed to the general public to adopt necessary safety precautions to prevent fire incidents, particularly during winter when the use of heating and cooking appliances increases.

The timely intervention by the district administration was appreciated by the local residents, who acknowledged the swift response and relief provided during this difficult time. (JKNS)
