Srinagar, Jan 7 (JKNS): The Government of Jammu and Kashmir has expanded the Task Force constituted for the rehabilitation of drug abuse victims by including two more senior officials as its members.

As per Government Order No. 28-JK (GAD) of 2026, dated January 7, 2026 as per news agency JKNS, issued by the General Administration Department, the Administrative Secretary, Health & Medical Education Department, and the Administrative Secretary, Department of Rural Development & Panchayati Raj, have been inducted as members of the Task Force.

The order states that this inclusion has been made in partial modification of Government Order No. 1515-JK (GAD) of 2025 dated November 25, 2025, under which the Task Force was originally constituted.

It has also been clarified that the Task Force may co-opt any other member or members as may be deemed necessary for effective functioning and implementation of its mandate. (JKNS)
