Srinagar, Jan 6 (JKNS): Displaying commendable honesty, a cab driver in Pahalgam area of South Kashmir returned a bag containing cash, an iPhone and other valuables to a lady tourist, drawing widespread appreciation.
A video of the tourist expressing heartfelt gratitude to the cab driver later surfaced on social media and quickly went viral, highlighting the warmth, kindness and humane values that Kashmir and its people are widely known for.
According to details available with JKNS, the tourist had accidentally left her bag inside the cab after completing her trip in Pahalgam. Upon discovering the unattended belongings, the driver took immediate steps to locate the owner rather than keeping the valuables.
After verifying the identity of the tourist, the driver safely handed over the bag with all its contents intact. The act was warmly appreciated by the tourist, who lauded the driver for his integrity and sense of responsibility.
