Govt Forms Committee for Takeover of Bypassed Stretches of Old NH-44 in Udhampur-Ramban

Jammu, Jan 3 (JKNS): The Government of Jammu and Kashmir has constituted a committee to conduct a joint inspection of the bypassed stretches of the old National Highway-44 (Udhampur-Ramban section) ahead of their formal takeover by the Public Works (R&B) Department.

According to Government Order No. 02-PW(R&B) as per news agency JKNS, the committee comprises Chief Engineer, PW(R&B) Department, Chenab Zone; Superintending Engineer, Udhampur–Ramban Circle; Executive Engineer, PWD Division Udhampur/Ramban; Superintending Engineer (RSAC), DIQC, J&K; and a representative of the Regional Officer, NHAI Jammu.

The committee has been tasked with jointly inspecting the bypassed stretches and submitting a detailed inspection report along with specific recommendations, indicating any further action required, for consideration by the competent authority.

The order has been issued by Financial Commissioner (Additional Chief Secretary), Public Works (R&B) Department, Anil Kumar Singh, IAS. (JKNS)
