J&K Solar Traders Union Formally Established as Apex Body After Statutory Renewal

Jammu, Dec 31 (JKNS): The Jammu & Kashmir Solar Traders Union has formally completed all statutory formalities relating to its constitution and renewal, thereby emerging as the apex representative body of solar and renewable energy traders, entrepreneurs, and allied stakeholders across the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir.

According to an official statement issued by the Union, the renewal has been carried out strictly in accordance with applicable laws and regulatory provisions. With this development, the Union has assumed a central role in representing the interests of stakeholders engaged in the rapidly expanding renewable energy sector in the UT.

The Union stated that it aims to function as a catalyst for the structured growth and strategic development of the renewable energy ecosystem in Jammu & Kashmir. Its focus areas include strengthening infrastructure in line with national renewable energy policies and sustainability goals, while simultaneously promoting employment generation, skill development, and entrepreneurial opportunities in the sector.

The Executive Council of the Union is scheduled to hold a high-level strategic consultation with senior officials of the UT administration in the coming days. The proposed interaction will focus on policy facilitation, regulatory mechanisms, and institutional support systems required to accelerate investment and ensure long-term sustainability of renewable energy initiatives in the region.
