“Future Administrators Must Lead Transformational Governance”: LG Manoj Sinha to IAS Trainees

Jammu, Dec 29 (JKNS): Emphasising the pivotal role of young civil servants in shaping India’s future, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Monday called upon IAS Officer Trainees to adopt a citizen-centric, innovative and transformational approach to governance during an interaction held in Jammu.

As per news agency JKNS, Sinha interacted with the IAS Officer Trainees of the 2025 Batch, who are on their 5-day visit to Jammu as a part of the Winter Study Tour (Bharat Darshan Programme).

The Officer Trainees are currently undergoing Phase-1 training at the Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration (LBSNAA), Mussoorie.

During the interaction, the Lieutenant Governor shared his insights on governance and public service. He also highlighted the transformational journey of Jammu Kashmir across the sectors.

The Group of IAS Officer Trainees comprised of Ms. Muskan Srivastava, Haryana Cadre; Ms. Meghna Chakravorty and Ms. Mudita Bansal, West Bengal Cadre; Shri Deepak Godara, AGMUT Cadre; Shri Saichaitanya Jadhav, Shri Rahul Raghavan and Shri Aman Tiwari, Tamil Nadu Cadre; Shri Venkatesh Banna, Andhra Pradesh Cadre, is led by Shri Umesh Kumar Meena (Rajasthan Cadre), with Ms. Vidhi (AGMUT Cadre) as the Associate Group Leader. Dr Rakesh Minhas, Deputy Commissioner Jammu was also present during the interaction.

The programme includes visits to the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine, Salal Hydroelectric Power Project, Bari Brahmana SIDCO Industrial Area, India -Pakistan border and a city tour of Jammu.

The visit is intended to provide the Officer Trainees with first-hand exposure to the administrative, developmental, and cultural landscape of the region, thereby contributing to their professional training and sensitisation to governance in diverse administrative environments. (JKNS)
