44 JKAS Officers Scheduled to Retire Next Year

Jammu, Dec 23 (JKNS): The Government of Jammu and Kashmir has announced the retirement of 44 officers belonging to the Jammu and Kashmir Administrative Service (JKAS) during the year 2026.

An official notification issued by the General Administration Department (Services), as per news agency JKNS, states that the officers will retire on attaining the age of superannuation on various dates across the calendar year 2026. The list comprises officers currently holding important administrative assignments in different departments.

These officers are serving in key sectors including Finance, Revenue, Rural Development, Education, Social Welfare, Forest, Horticulture, Urban Local Bodies, and other vital departments of the Union Territory. Several of them are posted as senior functionaries such as Commissioners/Secretaries, Directors, Deputy Commissioners, and Deputy Secretaries.

The notification clarifies that the retirement shall take effect from the afternoon of the respective dates mentioned against each officer. (JKNS)
