Kashmir Degree Colleges to Observe Winter Vacations from Dec 24

Srinagar/Jammu, Dec 23 (JKNS): The Government of Jammu and Kashmir has announced the schedule for winter vacations in all Government Degree Colleges across the Union Territory, bringing relief to students and faculty amid the harsh winter conditions.

As per an order issued by the Higher Education Department, and accessed by news agency JKNS, all Government Degree Colleges falling under the Winter Zone in both Kashmir Division and Jammu Division will observe winter vacations from December 24, 2025, to February 14, 2026.

Meanwhile, Government Degree Colleges in the Jammu Division located in the Summer Zone will remain closed for winter vacations from January 1, 2026, to January 10, 2026.

The order has been issued in the interest of administration and will be applicable to all Government Degree Colleges in the respective zones. The decision has been approved by the competent authority, the order said. (JKNS)
