J&K Govt Constitutes Committee to Finalise Inputs on PM’s Meeting with GoI Secretaries

Srinagar, Dec 22 (JKNS): The Jammu and Kashmir Government has constituted a high-level committee to finalise inputs and comments for submission to the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), Government of India, on actionable points emerging from the Hon’ble Prime Minister’s interaction with Secretaries to the Government of India held on October 6, 2025.

As per Government Order No. 1931-JK(GAD) of 2025 dated December 22 as per news agency JKNS, sanction has been accorded to the constitution of the committee, which will be chaired by the Financial Commissioner (Additional Chief Secretary), Planning Development and Monitoring Department.

According to the order, the committee includes the Principal Secretary to the Government, Home Department; Commissioner/Secretary, General Administration Department; Commissioner/Secretary, Forest, Ecology and Environment Department; Secretary to the Government, Revenue Department; and the Special Secretary, Planning Development and Monitoring Department, who will act as Member Secretary.

The committee has been tasked with consolidating inputs from all departments on adopting a “Whole of Government” approach in implementing initiatives, policies and schemes involving multiple ministries and departments, keeping the broader national perspective in view.

It will also analyse and finalise departmental suggestions aimed at improving Ease of Living for citizens, including continued efforts towards decriminalisation of minor offences. Further, the committee will assess gaps in achieving targets set for the year 2047 and prepare time-bound roadmaps to meet those goals.

Additionally, the panel will scrutinise, harmonise and finalise all departmental inputs related to the actionable points discussed during the Prime Minister’s interaction with Secretaries, for onward submission to the Ministry of Home Affairs.

The Planning Development and Monitoring Department will provide secretarial support to the committee, the order issued by Commissioner/Secretary to the Government, M. Raju, IAS, stated. (JKNS)
