Srinagar, Dec 21 (JKNS): Persistent adverse weather conditions disrupted air traffic at Srinagar International Airport on Sunday, forcing the cancellation of 14 flights till noon, officials said.

The official said that flight movements remained affected till afternoon due to low visibility conditions.

As of 1:00 pm, two scheduled arrival flights were still pending, while four departures were kept on hold at the apron, awaiting improvement in weather conditions.

The prolonged spell of bad weather caused inconvenience to passengers, with many travellers facing delays and uncertainty regarding their journeys, official sai.

Airport authorities advised passengers to stay in regular contact with their respective airlines for the latest updates before heading to the airport. They also cautioned that delays, rescheduling and cancellations may continue as adverse weather conditions persist across several parts of North India.

“Passengers should verify flight status with airlines in advance. We regret the inconvenience caused,” officials said. (JKNS)
