Jammu, Dec 20 (JKNS): Around 15 to 20 school-children were injured after a bus carrying them on a picnic overturned while returning from Veer Bhumi in Samba district to the border town of Pragwal on Saturday.
Officials told news agency JKNS that the bus, bearing registration number JK02CB-0246, met with the accident near Bishnah. All injured children were immediately shifted to Bishnah Hospital, where 6 to 7 students were later referred to Government Medical College (GMC) Jammu for advanced treatment.
Most of the injured children sustained minor injuries. Meanwhile, the bus driver reportedly fled the scene after the accident.
Police have taken cognizance of the incident and further investigation is underway. — (JKNS)
