UT-Level Security Conference ‘Antarvekshan 2025’ Held in Jammu

Jammu, Dec 19 (JKNS): On the lines of the DGPs and IGPs Conference, a UT-level conference titled ‘Antarvekshan 2025’, chaired by Lieutenant Governor Shri Manoj Sinha, was held in Jammu on Wednesday.

The conference witnessed participation of officers from the Jammu and Kashmir Police, ranging from Sub-Inspectors to senior ranks, along with personnel from Home Guards (HG), Civil Defence (CD), State Disaster Response Force (SDRF), Prosecution, Fire Services and Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs).

As per details available with news agency JKNS, Forensic Advisor to the Government of Assam Shri Keshav Kumar, Chief Secretary Shri Atal Dulloo, Director IIT Jammu Prof. Manoj Singh Gaur, and around 375 police officers attended the conference in person, while about 90 officers participated virtually.

Six technical sessions were conducted during the conference focusing on key themes, including imperatives for Jammu and Kashmir Police in Viksit Bharat: Policing in 2047, role of Artificial Intelligence in policing, terrorism and foreign interference in J&K, role of police stations in internal security and public service delivery, successful investigation and prosecution with emphasis on forensics and technology, and the role of police in disaster management.

On the occasion, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was also signed between J&K Police and IIT Jammu to strengthen collaboration in technology and capacity building.

Director General of Police Shri Nalin Prabhat, Special Director General (Coordination) Shri SJM Gillani, and Additional Director General (HQ) Shri MK Sinha briefed the participants during the conference. (JKNS)
