Srinagar, Dec 16 (JKNS): Counter Intelligence Kashmir (CIK) on Tuesday carried out raids at multiple locations across the Kashmir Valley in connection with an ongoing investigation into a terror-related case, officials said.
Official Sources told news agency JKNS that the searches are being conducted at around 12 locations spread across seven districts, including Pulwama, Budgam, Kulgam, Srinagar, Baramulla, Anantnag and Kupwara.
The raids are being carried out after obtaining search warrants in FIR No. 03/2023 registered under Sections 153-A and 505 of the IPC, and Sections 13 and 18 of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act at Police Station CIK.
According to sources, the case pertains to terror-related activities, including online glorification of terrorism with the intention of radicalising and recruiting youth into terrorist ranks.
The searches were underway at the time of filing this report, and further details are awaited. (JKNS)
