JeM Terrorist Associate Held With Grenade in Awantipora

Awantipora, Dec 12 (JKNS): In a significant breakthrough against the terror network operating in the region, Awantipora Police, in a coordinated operation with security forces, arrested a Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) associate and recovered a grenade from his possession.

Police spokesperson in a statement issued here to news agency JKNS reads, Acting on credible input at Naner Midoora, Awantipora Police , in a joint operation with 42 RR and 180 BN CRPF, launched a search operation in the area.

Statement reads that, During the search, one terrorist associate identified as Musaib Nazir
S/o: Nazir Ahmad Teli
R/o: Ladhoo Khrew associated with JeM was apprehended and a grenade was recovered from him.

Accordingly the person was booked under FIR No. 257/2025 with relevant sections of law registered at Police Station Awantipora, and further investigation has been initiated, it reads.

Police Awantipora remains committed to dismantling the terror ecosystem and ensuring peace and security in the Police District, the statement reads. (JKNS)
