Srinagar, Dec 10 (JKNS): A 25-year-old man from Nepal, working as a domestic help, was found dead under mysterious circumstances in the Sanat Nagar area of Srinagar on Wednesday, officials said.
Official sources told news agency JKNS, the deceased has been identified as Rajan Singh, son of Naroj Singh, a resident of Dagri Boriya, Nepal. He had been working as a servant at the residence of Gulzar Ahmad Sheikh, son of Habibullah Sheikh, in Housing Colony, Sanat Nagar.
“Soon after receiving the information, a police team from Police Station Saddar reached the spot and shifted the individual to SMHS Hospital, where doctors declared him brought dead,” an official said.
He said medico-legal formalities have been completed and the body has been taken for postmortem examination to ascertain the exact cause of death.
Police have registered a case and launched an investigation to determine the circumstances leading to the incident. (JKNS)
