Karnah, Dec 7 (JKNS): In honour of Tangdar’s distinguished and deeply respected educators, Master Nazir Ahmad Khan and Master Muhammad Imran Khawaja, a solemn condolence gathering was held at the Cultural Club Tangdar.
The event brought together respected elders of the region, teachers, social activists, literary figures, and dozens of the departed teachers’ students. Throughout the gathering, heartfelt tributes were offered, recognising the scholarly, moral, and social contributions of the departed souls.
The session was presided over by renowned teacher, writer, and scholar Abdul Rasheed Qureshi, while the proceedings were conducted by teacher Javed Ahmad Qureshi.
Among those present were well-known social worker Abdul Rashid Lone, Mir Haider Nadeem, Raja Ghulam Haider Khan, Raja Nazar Ahmad Khan, Abdul Rashid Bhat, Peerzada Sirajuddin Qureshi, Bashir Ahmad Khan, Zonal Education Officer Tangdar Rana Shah Muhammad, Bashir Ahmad Baba, Abdul Rashid Mir, Khawaja Muhammad Asif, Master Ghulam Murtaza, and many other esteemed personalities.
During the programme, the speakers reflected with deep emotion, saying that the late Master Nazir Sahib spent his entire life immersed in knowledge, dignity, integrity, and principle. He was a radiant lantern on the intellectual horizon of Karnah one whose extinguishing has left a profound void in the region. His students, now serving in prominent roles across various fields, expressed pride in saying: “We are those who were taught by Nazir Sahib.”
A comprehensive research paper was also presented by journalist Ashfaq Saeed, shedding light on various aspects of Master Nazir Sahib’s life, his educational journey, and his social contributions. The paper was deeply appreciated by the audience.
Prayers for forgiveness and elevated ranks were offered not only for Master Nazir Ahmad Khan, but also for and Master Imran Sahib . The participants prayed for peace for the departed souls and for patience and strength for the bereaved families. Speakers remarked that these personalities were the intellectual and social capital of Karnah individuals whose legacy will always be cherished with deep respect.
In the end, the participants collectively resolved to keep the educational, moral, and humanistic legacy of the late teachers alive by motivating the youth of the region to pursue knowledge, character-building, and social responsibility.
The efforts of young social worker Dr. Ajaz Ahmad Lone, who organised the event, were also widely acknowledged. The attendees stated that it was through Dr. Ajaz Lone’s commitment that this condolence ceremony was held with such grace, discipline, and thoughtfulness gesture truly worthy of appreciation.
