Srinagar, Dec 3 (JKNS): A massive fire broke out on Wednesday afternoon in the Khayam locality of Srinagar, causing damage to several residential houses, officials said.
An official told news agency JKNS that the blaze quickly spread to at least three to four residential structures soon after it started.
Fire and Emergency Services teams reached the spot immediately and launched a firefighting operation to contain the flames, the official added.
Efforts were still underway when last reports came in, and the exact nature and scale of the damage were yet to be ascertained. (JKNS)
