Organisers said the event was aimed at paying tribute to the brave hearts who lost their lives in the recent terror attacks. Volunteers started lining up early in the morning, reflecting strong public solidarity and humanitarian spirit.

Shah Fayaz, President JKECC & Chairman JKTA, said, “This blood donation camp is a heartfelt tribute to the martyrs of the Nowgam blast and the Delhi blast. Donating blood is a noble service to humanity, and today’s massive turnout shows Kashmir’s unity and compassion.”

Another organiser stated, “We thank every volunteer who stepped forward. Their blood will help save precious lives in hospitals across the Valley.”

Donors too expressed pride in participating. A young donor said, “I donated blood to honour the Nowgam martyrs. It feels good to contribute to society in their memory.”

An elderly woman who donated blood remarked, “Helping others has no age limit. Donating blood gives me peace and happiness.”

The organisers extended gratitude to volunteers, medical staff, and school authorities for making the event successful. (JKNS)
