Srinagar, Nov 28 (JKNS): The grand finale of the 3rd Edition CRPF Cup 2025 concluded today with an exhilarating final match held at the iconic Sher-e-Kashmir Stadium, Sonwar. In a thrilling contest, Murrad 7th Street Cricket Club emerged as the champions, defeating Batwara Sports Club to lift the coveted trophy.

Winning the toss and electing to bat first, Batwara Sports Club put up a fighting total of 181/8 in their allotted 20 overs. Murrad 7th Street CC responded emphatically, chasing it down with 183/3 in just 18.1 overs to lift the 3rd Edition CRPF Cup 2025.

The tournament came to a grand conclusion during a spectacular closing ceremony graced by several esteemed dignitaries. The stadium was packed with enthusiastic spectators who cheered for the teams, adding to the electrifying cricketing atmosphere with energetic commentary and music. The CRPF Cup 2025 witnessed incredible live viewership, with over 45 lakh viewers following the match on social media platforms through live streaming.

Shri Rajesh Kumar, IPS, ADG J&K Zone CRPF, graced the event as the Chief Guest. Shri Vineet Brij Lal, IG (KOS) CRPF; Shri Pawan Kumar Sharma, IG Srinagar Sector CRPF; Shri PR Jambholkar, DIG (Administration) Srinagar Sector; senior officers of J&K Police and CRPF; Dr. Parvez Sofi, MD Ujala Hospitals; and dignitaries from Kashmir University were among the distinguished guests.

Shri Pawan Kumar Sharma, IG Srinagar Sector CRPF, delivered the welcome address and stated that the registration of over 123 teams stands as a true testimony to the success and growing popularity of the tournament.

Shri Rajesh Kumar, IPS, ADG J&K Zone CRPF, emphasized that organising such cricket tournaments reflects the commitment of CRPF to channelize the energy of youth in a positive direction. He extended his heartfelt congratulations to both the winners and runners-up, praising their dedication and exemplary sportsmanship. He noted with appreciation that the annual CRPF Cup has steadily grown over the years, evolving into a highly anticipated and impactful sporting event in the Valley.

Shri Vineet Brij Lal, IG KOS CRPF, and Shri Pawan Kumar Sharma, IG Srinagar Sector CRPF, accompanied Shri Rajesh Kumar, IPS, ADG J&K Zone CRPF, during the presentation of trophies and medals to the players.

* Player of the Finals (Cash Prize: ₹12,000):
Abid Ali of Murrad 7th Street CC 3 wickets in the finals.

* Best Batsman (Cash Prize: ₹12,000):
Sharsheel Abbas of Murrad 7th Street CC 375 runs in the tournament.

* Best Bowler (Cash Prize: ₹12,000):
Safdar Ali of MLA Gymkhana Budgam — 17 wickets in the tournament.

* Player of the Tournament (Cash Prize: ₹30,000):
Irfan Mir Lara of Murrad 7th Street CC 499 runs and 13 wickets.

Awarded Gold Medals, the Champions Trophy, and a cash prize of ₹2 Lakhs
