Srinagar, Nov 24 (JKNS): Jammu and Kashmir is set to remain under a prolonged dry spell, with the Meteorological Centre predicting stable weather conditions for the next two weeks, Director MET Dr. Mukhtar Ahmad said on Monday.

As per news agency JKNS, Director said that weather across the UT will stay generally dry from November 24 to December 1, with no major system expected during the period.

He said that on December 2, the region may witness cloudy skies by afternoon, and higher reaches could receive a brief and very light spell of snowfall at isolated locations.

As per the MET Centre, dry weather is expected to continue again from December 3 to December 10, extending the prevailing cold and foggy conditions.

The department has also issued an advisory stating that shallow to moderate fog will persist at many places in Kashmir and at a few locations in Jammu Division, along with a further dip of 1-2°C in maximum and minimum temperatures over the coming week. (JKNS)
