Handwara, Nov 24 (JKNS): Twelve members of a family from Nowgam village in Handwara fell unconscious during the night hours in a suspected case of food poisoning, officials said on Monday.
Officials told news agency JKNS that all the affected persons were initially rushed to NTPHC Nowgam for first aid after they suddenly fell ill late Sunday night.
They were later referred to GMC Handwara for further treatment, where a medical team attended to the patients immediately.
Hospital authorities said all 12 family members are stable and are receiving the required medical care. The cause of the incident is being ascertained, they added. (JKNS)
