Notorious Magam Drug Peddler’s Assets Worth ₹35 Lakh Attached by Budgam Police

Budgam, Nov 23 (JKNS): In a major action against the drug menace, Budgam Police have attached immovable property worth approximately ₹35 lakhs and a Maruti A-Star vehicle bearing Registration No. JK05B-4705 belonging to a notorious drug peddler in the Magam area.

In a statement issued here to news agency JKNS reads, The attached property a double-storey residential house at Mazhama, Magam belongs to Hilal Ahmad Mir @ Hilal Galwan, S/o Ghulam Mohammad Mir, who is involved in FIR No. 29/2020 under Sections 8/22, 29 of the NDPS Act at Police Station Magam.

Investigation revealed that the accused had raised the said property through proceeds of illicit narcotics trafficking. After following due legal procedures and on the basis of concrete evidence, the property and vehicle were formally seized under Section 68-F of the NDPS Act.

This action reinforces Budgam Police’s firm commitment and zero-tolerance policy toward drug trafficking.

The public is urged to share any information related to drug peddling and join the fight against the drug menace to build a safer, drug-free society, reads the statement. (JKNS)
