Srinagar, Nov 23 (JKNS): Doctors Association Kashmir (DAK) has strongly denounced the November 10 bomb blast near Delhi’s Red Fort, which claimed innocent lives and left several people injured.

In a statement issued to news agency JKNS, DAK spokesperson said the medical fraternity was “deeply disturbed” by reports suggesting possible involvement of individuals linked to the profession in the attack, terming it an “inhuman act” and a shocking breach of medical ethics if proven true.

DAK said it has full faith in the justice system and urged authorities to take strict legal action against all those found guilty as per law.

Reaffirming its commitment to peace, humanity and national unity, the Association appealed to the public to remain calm, vigilant and united against any form of violence or extremism. “Doctors have always upheld humanity, compassion and service above everything else, and we will continue to adhere to these principles in every situation,” it said.

The statement added that such acts of violence “will not weaken our resolve to heal, protect and serve society and the nation.” (JKNS)
