Sought Admissions Only in Recognized Private Schools: CEO Ganderbal Issues Advisory

Srinagar, Nov 20 (JKNS): The Chief Education Officer Ganderbal has issued a public notice advising parents and guardians to verify the recognition and affiliation status of private educational institutions before seeking admissions for their wards.

In the notice issued as per news agency JKNS, the CEO cautioned that admissions taken in unrecognised or unaffiliated private schools shall be treated as invalid, which may adversely impact the academic future and career progression of students.

The officer stressed that parents, guardians, and all stakeholders must exercise due diligence and ensure that admission is sought only in institutions duly recognised and affiliated with the competent authorities.

Terming the advisory a measure issued in the larger public interest, the CEO said the directions are aimed at safeguarding students and preventing them from falling into academic uncertainty due to invalid admissions.

The notice is applicable for the ongoing academic session 2025–26 and has been issued for strict adherence. (JKNS)
