Shopian, Nov 20 (JKNS): A young girl was killed on the spot after being struck by a speeding tipper near SBGM Paramedical and Nursing College in Arhama area of south Kashmir’s Shopian district on Thursday.
Officials told news agency JKNS that the accident occurred when the tipper, bearing registration number JK13E-3014, ran over the girl identified as Rozy Jan, daughter of Mohammad Yousuf and a resident of Chitragam Kalan, Shopian.
Police have taken cognizance of the incident, registered a case, and initiated further investigation to ascertain the circumstances that led to the fatal accident. (JKNS)
