In his remarks, the Chief Minister outlined the administration’s recent initiatives, including Mission YUVA, the strengthening of the education sector, fresh investments in sports facilities, and steps toward building a stronger entrepreneurial network for the youth.

He acknowledged the Central Government’s continued support and welcomed the decision to extend the SASCI Scheme to Jammu & Kashmir. The Council, he said, remains an effective mechanism for coordination among northern states and UTs.

Touching upon the recent militant attacks, Omar Abdullah said that while the government will continue its determined fight against terrorism, it is equally important that innocent people are not unnecessarily targeted with suspicion.

“The people of Jammu & Kashmir are inherently peaceful and share the national aspiration for Viksit Bharat and a Viksit Jammu & Kashmir,” he said, adding that the active public participation in the Nagrota and Budgam by-polls reflects the region’s strong belief in democratic processes. (JKNS)
