Srinagar, Nov 12 (JKNS): An exhibition commemorating 150 years of the national song Vande Mataram was organised on Wednesday at the Auditorium of S.P. College, Srinagar, by the 1 J&K Naval Unit NCC, Srinagar.

As per news agency JKNS, the event aimed to celebrate the historical and cultural significance of Vande Mataram, tracing its journey through different eras and highlighting its pivotal role in India’s freedom struggle. The exhibition featured displays and presentations illustrating the patriotic legacy and enduring spirit associated with the song.

Cadets from various institutes across Srinagar actively participated in organising and volunteering for the exhibition, contributing to the smooth conduct and grand success of the programme.

The initiative was designed to instill a sense of nationalism and raise awareness among the youth about India’s rich heritage. Organisers said that the enthusiastic participation of NCC cadets reflected their dedication and commitment to promoting national pride and cultural values among students and the wider community.

The event concluded with a call for preserving the patriotic and cultural legacy of the nation while inspiring younger generations to remember the sacrifices of freedom fighters who drew inspiration from Vande Mataram. (JKNS)
