Nagrota Tops 65% Turnout, Budgam Climbs Past 42% by 3 PM

Srinagar, Nov 11 (JKNS): Polling gathered further momentum across the Nagrota and Budgam Assembly segments on Tuesday, with both constituencies recording substantial voter participation by 3 p.m., official figures revealed.

As per turnout data accessed by news agency JKNS, Nagrota Assembly Constituency (AC-77) logged a voter turnout of 65.14% by 3 p.m., marking one of the strongest polling responses of the day.

Budgam Assembly Constituency (AC-27) recorded 42.64% turnout by the same time, and officials expect numbers to increase as polling continues through the afternoon.

Polling authorities said that despite cold weather in several parts of the region, voters continued to make their way to polling stations in a steady stream, while security forces ensured a smooth and peaceful voting process across both constituencies.

A total of 17 candidates are in the fray from the two seats, including National Conference’s Aga Syed Mehmood, Peoples Democratic Party’s Aga Syed Muntazir, BJP’s Aga Syed Mohsin, among others. (JKNS)
