During the operation, eight relatives of J&K Nationals Operating from Pak/PoK (JKNOPs) and OGWs were detained and shifted to jail under preventive laws. Several suspects were also questioned, and multiple houses were searched.

In a parallel legal move, Kulgam Police has filed 16 applications for cancellation of bail granted to accused persons booked under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA).

This action is part of Kulgam Police’s Zero-Tolerance Policy towards terrorism and its support networks.

It is pertinent to mention that earlier, Kulgam Police had initiated strong action against JKNOPs and SIM card vendors involved in facilitating terror communication channels.

Kulgam Police reiterates its firm commitment to dismantling every layer of the terror support structure and ensuring lasting peace, security, and stability in the district, reads the statement. (JKNS)
