Baramulla Police Steps Up Action Against Terror Aiding Networks Across District

Baramulla, Nov 10 (JKNS): Baramulla Police intensified its crackdown on terror support structures on Sunday, conducting multiple coordinated operations across the district to strengthen public security and neutralize networks aiding anti-national elements.

In a statement police Spokesperson as per news agency JKNS said, Baramulla Police on Sunday carried forward a series of synchronized operations aimed at dismantling the terror support network and reinforcing public security. The ongoing drive forms part of a sustained effort to choke the ecosystem aiding anti-national elements and preserve the district’s hard-earned peace.

During the operations, multi-layered actions were undertaken, 16 properties linked with PoK/Pakistan-based Kashmiri natives were searched, resulting in 10 individuals being bound down under preventive provisions. 23 locations associated with Over Ground Workers (OGWs) were raided, with 16 OGWs bound down for aiding unlawful activities, statement reads.

6 properties belonging to UAPA-accused individuals (currently on bail) were searched, and 5 OGWs were bound down, it reads.

11 SIM vendors were inspected to ensure strict compliance with subscriber verification norms and prevent misuse of telecom services, it reads.

175 vehicles were subjected to intensive checking at strategic nakas and checkpoints along the National Highway and other vital routes, it reads.

32 Cordon and Search Operations (CASOs) were conducted simultaneously across different parts of the district, it reads.

These sustained operations reflect Baramulla Police’s proactive and layered approach to neutralizing support structures that aid terror activities. Each phase of the ongoing campaign is designed to strengthen preventive policing, instill public confidence, and deny any operational space to disruptive elements.

Reaffirming its zero-tolerance policy towards terror facilitation, Baramulla Police stated that the district-wide crackdown will remain in active momentum to consolidate the gains achieved and ensure lasting peace and security across the region.

District Police reaffirms its unwavering resolve to take stern and uncompromising action against any individual or network attempting to undermine peace, stability, or public order in the district, reads the statement. (JKNS)
