Budgam Police Marks 150 Years of ‘Vande Mataram’ With Patriotic Ceremony at DPL

Budgam, Nov 7 (JKNS): Budgam Police observed the 150ᵗʰ anniversary of India’s National Song “Vande Mataram” by organizing a special commemorative event at District Police Lines (DPL) Budgam to honour the spirit of patriotism and unity embodied in the timeless composition of Bankim Chandra Chatterjee.

The event was presided over by Shri Nikhil Borkar (IPS), SSP Budgam, accompanied by Shri Gh. Mohiuddin, DySP DAR DPL Budgam. On the occasion, SSP Budgam, highlighted the historical and cultural significance of Vande Mataram, describing it as a symbol of national pride that inspired generations during India’s freedom struggle.

Senior officers and officials of District Police Budgam joined in singing Vande Mataram, reaffirming their commitment to the values of integrity, peace, and national unity.

As part of the week-long celebrations, similar patriotic events will be organized across all sub-divisions of the district, including Police Stations and Police Posts, aimed at promoting patriotic fervour and strengthening police-public relations.
