Budgam, Nov 5 (JKNS): The first snowfall of the season was witnessed at various tourist destinations in central Kashmir’s Budgam district, marking the onset of winter in the Valley.
Reports reaching news agency JKNS said the famous tourist resorts of Doodhpathri, Yousmarg, and Tosamaidan received fresh snowfall this morning, transforming the picturesque meadows into a captivating white landscape.
Meanwhile, the plains of Budgam continued to receive intermittent rainfall since last evening, though officials said the weather has now improved and conditions remain favorable.
The early snowfall has brought joy to locals and visitors alike, with tourism stakeholders hopeful that it will give a boost to winter tourism in the coming weeks. (JKNS)
