Srinagar, Nov 5 (JKNS): Prominent BJP Leader, DDC Member Srinagar, and Co-Incharge Minority Morcha J&K, Er. Aijaz Hussain, on Wednesday visited the residence of Late Tariq Ahmad Bhat, a senior journalist who passed away yesterday, to offer his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family.

Expressing profound grief over the demise, Er. Aijaz said that Tariq Ahmad Bhat was known for his fearless journalism, humility, and dedication to truth. His insightful reporting and balanced perspective earned him deep respect among his colleagues and the public alike.

While interacting with the family members, Er. Aijaz conveyed that the media has lost a sincere professional who always worked in the interest of society and remained committed to journalistic ethics despite challenges. He prayed for eternal peace to the departed soul and courage for the family to bear this irreparable loss.

Er. Aijaz further remarked that journalism serves as the fourth pillar of democracy, and the contributions of journalists like Tariq Ahmad Bhat strengthen public faith in the institution of free and fair reporting.

He also extended solidarity with the journalist fraternity of Kashmir, acknowledging their tireless efforts in conveying truth and raising the concerns of the common people.

“The void left by Tariq Ahmad Bhat will be hard to fill. His work and values will continue to inspire many young journalists,” Er. Aijaz said while paying tribute and joining the family in prayers. (JKNS)
