Rainawari Wonder Boys Clinch Victory as Army’s Kashmir Sub Area Cricket Tournament Wraps Up Successfully

Srinagar, 02 Nov (JKNS): Kashmir Sub Area Cricket Tournament 2025 organised by the Indian Army in association with the NGO “Saving the Future”, successfully concluded at Chattabal Military Garrison, Srinagar on 02 Nov 2025.

The ceremony marked the conclusion of a high-energy tournament that characterized team spirit of 08 participating teams from across Srinagar City, showcasing exceptional talent and skill throughout the competition.

​Played over seven days, more than 700 spectators celebrated the game of cricket by cheering their favourite teams and supporting local youth.

The final match was played between Chattabal Spartans v/s Rainawari Wonder Boys, with Rainawari Wonder Boys emerging as winners by eight wickets and lifting the trophy in a fiercely competitive game.

​GOC Kashmir Sub Area graced the occasion as the Chief Guest and Mr Fazlul Haseeb, IAS, Commissioner, Srinagar Municipal Corporation as guest of honour.

All the participants and winners were felicitated by the Chief Guest on the occasion, who lauded the enthusiasm and sportsmanship displayed by all teams.

​The event affirms the commitment of the Chinar Corps in meeting aspirations of the youth of Kashmir and in providing opportunities to them through sports for a vibrant and happy Kashmir.

The Kashmir Sub Area Cricket Tournament 2025 also exemplified the spirit of “Nation Building through Sports”.

The sporting event achieved its objectives of fostering youth engagement, promoting harmony through Cricket and strengthening societal interaction & cooperation. (JKNS)
