Srinagar, Nov 2 (JKNS): Prominent BJP leader, DDC Member Srinagar and Co-Incharge Minority Morcha, UT of J&K, Er. Aijaz Hussain today participated in a grand mass marriage ceremony organized by the Jaffari Council under the leadership of its Chairman Haji Musadiq Hussain in Srinagar.

The event witnessed the solemnization of 40 marriages, bringing immense joy and relief to several underprivileged families. The ceremony, marked by simplicity and dignity, was attended by community members, religious scholars, and social activists from across the Valley.

Speaking on the occasion, Er. Aijaz Hussain lauded Haji Musadiq Hussain and the Jaffari Council for their noble and humanitarian initiative aimed at promoting simplicity in marriages and supporting economically weaker families. He said such mass marriage programs reflect the true spirit of Islamic teachings compassion, unity, and social responsibility.

Er. Aijaz appreciated the efforts of all organizers, donors, and volunteers whose dedication and selfless service made the event successful. Extending his heartfelt congratulations to the newly married couples, he prayed for their happy, prosperous, and blessed lives ahead.

He also appealed to society to discourage dowry and extravagance in weddings, stressing that true happiness lies in simplicity and sincerity, which have always been the hallmark of Kashmir’s cultural and religious ethos. (JKNS)
