Srinagar, Nov 1 (JKNS): Naseer Ahmad Wani, a senior officer of the Jammu & Kashmir Administrative Service (JKAS), formally assumed charge as Director School Education, Kashmir.
As per news agency JKNS, Upon assuming office, Wani stressed the need to strengthen the school education system across the Valley, with emphasis on quality learning, accountability, and effective execution of ongoing educational initiatives.
During his first day, he interacted with senior officials of the department and reviewed key projects aimed at improving school infrastructure and elevating academic standards in government-run institutions.
He takes over from Dr. G.N. Itoo, who has been elevated to the post of Director General of the School Education Department, Kashmir. (JKNS)
