The incident occurred around 3:00 a.m. when a wild animal reportedly entered the livestock shed of Mr. Ilyas Ahmad, a resident of Kandi Karnah. The attack resulted in the death of six female sheep and one female goat, causing significant loss to the farmer.

A veterinarian from the Sheep Husbandry Department visited the site and confirmed the deaths after examining the carcasses. Authorities have been informed, and the process for compensation is expected to be initiated as per departmental guidelines for livestock loss. Mr. Ahmad has appealed to the Wildlife Department to take urgent steps to prevent such incidents in the future and ensure the safety of livestock in the area. (JKNS)
