Teen Killed, Four Injured in Road Accident at Duroo Sopore

Sopore, Oct 25 (JKNS): A teenager lost his life while four others sustained injuries in a road accident that took place in Duroo area of Sopore in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Saturday.

An official told news agency JKNS, the accident occurred when a scooter collided at Duroo Sopore, resulting in on-the-spot death of one youth identified as Moomin Bashir Teli, son of late Bashir Ahmad Teli, a resident of Faisalabad Sopore and student of 10th class at Higher Secondary School Sopore.

The injured have been identified as 18-year-old, resident of Kupwara, 17-year-old, resident of Jalalabad, 19-year-old, resident of Chankipora Sopore.

Official said another injured aged 20 a girl was hit while she was waiting for a bus, and has been shifted to SkIMS Soura.

All the injured were initially treated at SDH Sopore and later referred to GMC Baramulla for advanced treatment.

Police have taken cognizance of the incident and initiated further investigation. (JKNS)
