Kupwara, Oct 23 (JKNS): The Roshankal Welfare Foundation, a government-registered NGO headquartered near the Mini Secretariat Karnah, held its first official meeting today, marking a major step toward strengthening its organizational framework.
The Foundation, registered under the Indian Companies Act and recognized by NITI Aayog , was established with the aim of promoting social welfare, education, healthcare, women empowerment, and sustainable development across the border region of Karnah.
During today’s meeting, the Foundation formally constituted its Executive Body to ensure effective coordination and implementation of welfare initiatives.
The newly appointed Executive Body includes Dr. Ashfaq Ahmad (Executive Director & Finance Director), Ms. Salma Saleem (Programme Manager & Field Coordinator), Dr. Sajjad Mir (Communication Officer), Ms. Anjum Saleem (Monitoring & Evaluation Officer), Mr. Shafaqat Saleem (Media In-Charge), Mr. Bilal Ahmad Lone (Spokesperson), Ms. Snober Bashir (Social Welfare & Outreach Coordinator), Mr. Waqar Hussain Shah (Event & Logistics Coordinator), and Mr. Zaheer Khan (Public Relations Officer).
While speaking to our correspondent, Dr. Ashfaq Ahmad, Executive Director of the Foundation, said, “Although our team was constituted on 4th October 2025, the official consent was finalized today at our head office near the Mini Secretariat. I urge my team to work together sincerely for the sake of Allah and to stand united whenever the community needs us.”
The meeting concluded with a collective pledge to serve the people with dedication, transparency, and teamwork under the banner of the Roshankal Welfare Foundation. (JKNS)
