Srinagar, Oct 23 (JKNS): Jammu and Kashmir Assembly Speaker Abdul Rahim Rather criticized the Kupwara district administration on Thursday after it failed to notify the Assembly Secretariat about the death of former Langate MLA Muhammad Sultan Panditpori, leading to his name being left out of the obituary references in the House.

Speaking during the session, the Speaker as per news agency JKNS described the omission as “an irresponsible attitude” and urged district authorities to ensure such lapses do not occur in the future. The incident was highlighted to underscore the importance of proper communication between district administrations and the Assembly Secretariat.
