Govt Initiates Departmental Action Against Former PHE AAO Budgam

Srinagar, Oct 23 (JKNS): The Finance Department has ordered the initiation of regular departmental action against Mr. Abdul Lateef Malik, the then Assistant Accounts Officer (AAO), PHE Sub-Division Budgam, in connection with WP (C) No. 1813/2022 dated 16.07.2022.

According to the government order issued by the Principal Secretary to the Government, Finance Department as per news agency JKNS, Mr. Javed Ahmad Khanday, Sadder Treasury Officer, Srinagar, has been appointed as the Inquiry Officer to investigate the charges framed against the officer, who is currently serving as Accounts Officer, Audit & Inspections Kashmir.

Additionally, Mr. Ajaz Ahmad, Accounts Officer, Directorate General of Accounts & Treasuries, has been designated as the Presenting Officer in the case.

The order further directs that the inquiry be completed and the report submitted within 15 days from the date of issuance of the order.

The action is part of the government’s continued efforts to ensure accountability and transparency in public service. (JKNS)
