During the meeting, Er. Aijaz Hussain highlighted the long-pending issue of settlement of revenue records for village Balhama, stressing that the delay has been causing inconvenience to residents and hindering developmental initiatives. He also urged that the work on the establishment of a hospital at Balhama be started without further delay, as the project has already been approved by the Health Department to cater to the healthcare needs of the area’s growing population.

Er. Aijaz further raised the issue of jurisdiction at Padshahibagh, urging the administration to resolve the matter for effective governance and better public service delivery. He also discussed the issue of customary mining in river Jhelum, calling for a balanced and regulated approach that safeguards local livelihoods while maintaining environmental integrity.

In addition, Er. Aijaz Hussain drew the attention of the authorities to several other developmental concerns of rural areas falling under Lalchowk Constituency, emphasizing the need for timely execution of projects, fair allocation of resources, and equitable development across all panchayats.

Speaking on the occasion, Er. Aijaz Hussain said, “Our focus must be on inclusive and sustainable development. Every village and every household in Srinagar district deserves access to basic amenities, healthcare, and fair governance. I will continue to raise the voice of the people at every platform until their issues are addressed.”
