ITBP DG Briefs Ladakh LG on Border Security and Troop Welfare

Leh, Oct 14 (JKNS): The Director General of the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP), Shri Praveen Kumar, IPS, paid a courtesy call on the Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh, Shri Kavinder Gupta, at the Raj Niwas today.

During the meeting, the Director General ITBP briefed the Lt Governor on matters related to border management, security preparedness, and welfare initiatives for ITBP personnel deployed in the Union Territory of Ladakh. He further briefed the Lt Governor on ongoing infrastructure development projects, logistic support mechanisms, and measures being taken to enhance operational efficiency and living conditions of ITBP personnel in high-altitude areas.

The Lt Governor appreciated the ITBP’s dedicated service in safeguarding the nation’s borders and acknowledged its significant role in supporting the local administration during emergencies and disaster response operations.

Inspector General, North-West Frontier (NWF), ITBP, Shri Akun Sabharwal, IPS, also accompanied the Director General during the meeting. (JKNS)
