NC Finalises Three Names for Rajya Sabha, Pitches Regional Balance

Srinagar, Oct 10 (JKNS): The Jammu and Kashmir National Conference (NC) on Friday announced the names of its candidates for the forthcoming Rajya Sabha polls.

Decision Announced by Party Leadership
NC General Secretary Ali Muhammad Sagar, while addressing a press conference at party headquarters Nawa-e-Subh Complex Srinagar, said as per news agency JKNS that the party has finalized three names for the Upper House.

Names of Candidates Finalised
The party has nominated Choudhary Muhammad Ramzan, Sajjad Kichloo, and Shammi Oberoi as its official candidates for the Rajya Sabha elections, Sagar stated.

Deliberations Within NC Leadership
He added that the decision was taken after detailed discussions under the guidance of NC President Dr. Farooq Abdullah and Vice President Omar Abdullah.

Focus on Balance and Representation
“These nominations reflect the party’s commitment to regional balance, inclusivity, and experienced representation,” Sagar said.

Confidence in Representation at National Level
He expressed confidence that the chosen candidates would effectively voice the concerns of Jammu and Kashmir in the Upper House of Parliament. (JKNS)
