Light Rain, Snow Over Higher Reaches Likely Towards Evening: MET Director

Generally Dry Weather Expected in J&K from Oct 11 to 19

Srinagar, Oct 10: The Meteorological Department has forecast a brief spell of light rain and light snowfall over higher reaches of Jammu and Kashmir on Friday evening, while predicting generally dry weather conditions for the next several days.

Director Meteorological Department (MET), Dr. Mukhtar Ahmad, as per news agency JKNS that light rain or snowfall is likely at a few places towards late afternoon or evening today.

He added that the weather is expected to remain generally dry across the Union Territory from October 11 to October 19, with no major weather activity anticipated during this period.

In an advisory, the MET Centre Srinagar urged farmers to continue all agricultural activities as weather conditions are likely to remain favourable for field operations in the coming days.

The department will continue to monitor weather developments and issue updates as needed. (JKNS)
