RAJOURI: Registrar Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University Abhishek Sharma chaired a comprehensive review meeting today to assess the University’s preparedness for the forthcoming evaluation and accreditation by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC).
In his opening address, the Registrar underscored the strategic significance of the NAAC accreditation process in strengthening the University’s academic standing, institutional credibility, and overall quality ecosystem. He emphasized that accreditation is not merely a procedural requirement but a structured demonstration of the University’s commitment to excellence in teaching, research, community engagement, and governance.
Mr. Sharma highlighted the need for accuracy, timeliness, and uniformity in data reporting to ensure a transparent and credible representation of the University’s achievements and strengths. He urged all departments to focus on evidence-based documentation and to align their efforts with the quality benchmarks laid down by NAAC.
The Registrar further directed departments to enhance their documentation and performance, particularly in key areas such as research output, student support services, curricular enrichment, community engagement, and best practices. Stressing the importance of teamwork and synergy, he called upon all Heads and Coordinators to work in close collaboration with the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) to meet the set targets effectively.
The meeting was attended by the Heads and Coordinators of various departments, who assured their full commitment and proactive participation in ensuring that all NAAC-related activities are completed in a structured and timely manner.
