The administration has warned that the prevailing weather may lead to slippery roads, landslides, shooting stones, and poor visibility, making vehicular movement risky and prone to accidents.

Drivers have been instructed to carry proper safety equipment, including the use of snow skid chains. The general public, travellers, and tourists have been advised to follow weather updates and adhere to instructions issued by the administration from time to time.

The advisory also discourages heavy vehicles and non-essential travel until the weather improves.

For emergencies and updates regarding road clearance, the administration has shared contact numbers of officials from PMGSY, NHIDCL, Police, and the SDM Office.

The order has been issued by SDM Kokernag, Prince Kumar (IAS), in the interest of public safety and will remain effective until further instructions. (JKNS)
