“The podcast will feature personalities who have achieved significant milestones and can guide others. This includes coaches of national and international repute. They will have the opportunity to share their experiences, guide young players, and answer questions through this platform,” Anuradha said.

She added that children from different regions actively participating in sports deserve recognition and this initiative will help acknowledge their efforts and give them much-needed visibility.

“To make this possible, we have decided to create dedicated media platforms through social media handles such as YouTube, Instagram, and podcasts. The aim is to highlight the journey of players and give them wider visibility,” Gupta said.

She further emphasized that under the J&K Sports Policy, the Directorate of Youth Services and Sports has been assigned a crucial role in information dissemination, and this new initiative will serve as a strong tool to fulfill that responsibility.

“Sports for All, Fitness for All is our mission. It is a key part of our sports policy mandate. To achieve this, we must move forward together. This will only be possible when civil society and the community join hands with us,” she added.

“The Department is also organizing School Nationals in Wushu, Taekwondo, and Table Tennis, and the dates for these championships have already been announced,” she said.

DG Gupta emphasized that this initiative aligns with the J&K Sports Policy and the department’s core mission of “Sports for All, Fitness for All.” She underlined that achieving this goal requires collective effort, calling on civil society and the community to actively support the initiative.
